Russ Bryant on assignment in Kuwait
The Georgia Guardian was given an opportunity to document
the lives of the Army's
3rd Infantry Division while on deployment in Kuwait. Five thousand troops
from Fort
Stewart, Ga., were deployed to the Middle East as a part of Operation Desert
Thunder. These
photos won the first place award in the Georgia Press Association's 1999
Better Newspaper Contest.
