Fishing Update
By Capt. Judy Helmey
A Georgia fishing license is required to do any type of fishing. This
license can be purchased at tackle stores, convenience stores and over the
phone by calling (888) 748-6887. Have a credit card handy. The fees that
are collected are put back into the sport. An annual Georgia resident fishing
license is $9, a fishing/hunting license is $17. Every fishing person ages
16-65 must have a license.
